About our History

I was 5 years old. My uncle Scott and I were coming home from a camping trip
in the Los Padres NF where we spent a lot of time together.
He pulled over as we were coming out of the mountains and said,
"Hey Jerebear go grab some of that oak bark under the oak tree,
we will BBQ when we get back. I've got a tri-tip marinading."
We got home and he told me "go and start the BBQ".
We had dinner and I asked him,
"How do you get the tri-tip to taste so good"?
It's been history ever since then.
Scott pasted away in 2008.
His passing sparked a Scotty's tri-tip cook off for better than a decade.
We were joined by family, friends and friends of friends.
Sharing great food, time and memories that will be with us for the rest of our lives.
The marinade that he shared with me has won many off those cook offs,
and has been a mealtime favorite.
My family told me "you need to bottle this stuff".
After years of my mother saying do it.
My wife Naomi and I said why not let's just do it. So here we are.

It is my hope your family and friends will love what my uncle shared with me so many years ago and that it will bring you good times and fond memories with those who you love to share your time with, just as much as it has done for me and my entire tribe.
